Every photograph on this page is ECO Contractors & Sons' own work, taken on site and published on the firm's Google Business Profile. Some of them are mid-build on purpose — the dumper still on site, turf going down over graded ground — because the stage nobody photographs is the stage that decides whether the finished surface lasts.
Block paving · driveways
A block-paved front drive laid up to the bay and the front step of a Victorian semi, with a new timber fence and gate posts set into the boundary — our own site boards still up against the fence.
Block paving · groundworks
Charcoal block paving going down over a consolidated base, edged with a brick soldier course. The dumper is still on site — this is the stage most contractors never photograph.
Patios · extensions
A full-width sandstone terrace wrapping a rendered single-storey extension, laid to falls away from the bi-fold threshold and cut in tight against the boundary fence.
Patios · raised beds
A sandstone patio with a brick-edged raised bed planted up, and a slatted timber screen giving the seating area some privacy from the neighbouring plot.
Retaining walls · brickwork
A reclaimed-brick retaining wall holding a raised rockery bed above a crazy-paved path — the footing and the drainage behind it are what keep the face plumb.
Tiered gardens · steps & walling
A tiered back garden finished: brick retaining walls holding two levels, stone steps between them, and planting softening the edges of the terrace.
Front gardens · groundworks
A front garden rebuilt from the ground up: rendered retaining walls to hold the level, brick paving to the drive and a new planted bed set out against the boundary.
Lawns & turfing
A freshly laid lawn on a new-build plot, graded and rolled, with a sandstone path and a planted border along the house wall ready to go in.
Ground preparation · turfing
Turf going down over prepared and levelled ground at the back of a house. Everything that decides whether this lawn takes has already happened before the rolls arrive.
